MAYA MO COLEBORN is an artist who works with drawing in its expanded form. She uses line and scale to explore the engulfing and embodying possibilities of sculpture, drawing, and painting. What does it feel like to embody? What does it feel like to be engulfed? Maya plays with scale and tacit knowledge to address visceral interaction and bodily encounter. Reflecting on emerging figures and forms, the work is ominous, playful, and organic. Maya’s practice embodies experiences of becoming, decay, emergence, and gesture to ask questions of the viewer.
